Cody Bolan sets wave of bi-weekly release campaign

Multi-genre songwriter Cody Bolan has officially launched a campaign to release new music every two weeks through July. Bolan, who began making waves in the rap scene, has been actively releasing music for the past five years. Since 2019, he’s expanded his range, collaborating with artists across the country—including members of the Shaboozey camp—and experimenting with a wide spectrum of genres.

His most recent release is a prime example of his versatility: a House EDM track featured on a label release that played during the F1 Racing events a few months ago.

Having personally seen Bolan work, I’ve gained some insight into his creative process—and it’s clear that the music he’s set to drop over the next few months is deeply rooted in his growth as both a producer and songwriter. His process often starts with a loop or an idea from his Seattle-based producer and engineer, Remixz. From there, Bolan builds around a melody or pocket, crafting themes and lyrics that give the track its emotional and sonic identity. He works quickly, with a well-developed ear for what resonates with him.

The first track of this campaign, “Two Sides,” is a strong representation of his evolving sound. Bolan not only produced and engineered the track himself, but also performed the vocals—resulting in a cohesive and authentic experience that feels uniquely his. Remixz, who plays a key role in most of Bolan’s projects, brings years of experience to the table and is steadily becoming a recognized name in the industry, particularly in creative circles around LA and Nashville.

“Two Sides” is a standout among the upcoming releases and a personal favorite of mine. You can find it on all major streaming platforms.
